Best Practices for Search Engine Optimization

There are a number of things that you can do that will help your binders show up high in the search results from Google, Bing, and other search engines, these include:

  1. Make sure the table of contents is the first page on your binder. Go into your binder in edit mode and click on Settings then Layout. Make sure the Table of Contents is in the first tab.
  2. Use a descriptive title. Your binder title should be descriptive, but not too long, four to five words is best. Be sure to use the desired search keywords.
  3. Add a binder description. Under Binder Settings from inside the editor add a detailed binder description. Your description can be an entire paragraph if desired. Be sure to use the desired keywords in the description.
  4. Add tags. Under Binder Settings from inside the editor, add tags with your desired keywords.
  5. Make sure your tab names include your desired keywords
  6. If you type text in your LiveBinder, make sure the text includes the desired keywords.
  7. Links back to your binder help it move up the search rankings. The links should be from good quality sites. Tweet about your binder and link to it on other social media sites.
  8. Be patient. It takes a while for your binder to be discovered and even longer for it to move up the search rankings. The more quality links to your binder the better.
